Marnus Labuschagne has been dropped from Australia's three-match ODI series versus India, with in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw getting a surprise inclusion.
Labuschagne has been omitted from the one-day international side after being dismissed for one in each of his two innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a best innings of forty-seven in his most recent ten ODI innings.
Labuschagne has featured in 68 one-day internationals and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now work towards a Test team comeback in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on 21 November.
There have been indications of a return to form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw also hit a century for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.
